Keito's monday.com integration is available to all Business workspaces. Map boards and items, then attach verified, permission-aware references to Keito time entries.

Integration Guides

Keito’s monday.com integration is available to every Business workspace. It gives teams a reliable connection between the work organised in monday.com and the time reviewed, reported, and billed in Keito.

An administrator maps monday.com boards—or individual supported items—to Keito projects and tasks. Team members then search the monday.com work they can personally access and attach an item while recording time. The selected item is saved as a verified reference on the Keito entry.

Reference linking is read-only by default. Owners and administrators can now separately enable completed recorded-hour totals in a dedicated Numbers column. Native Time Tracking sessions, comments, statuses, and approvals remain untouched. See the current setup guide for the additional authorization and column settings.

One reference, one source of truth for time

Project-delivery tools and time systems answer different questions. monday.com shows what the team is delivering. Keito holds the durable record of who worked, for how long, under which approval rules, against which budget, and what can be billed.

Reference linking connects those records while Keito remains the source of truth:

  • monday.com remains the place for boards and work items.
  • Keito remains the source of truth for time, approvals, budgets, reports, and billing.
  • A saved Keito time entry includes the item’s name, board, and link for delivery context.
  • The reference is labelled Linked, never “synced” or “sent”.

That boundary is especially important for professional-services teams. Reviewers can open the source item from the time entry, while finance can continue using Keito’s existing approval and invoicing workflow.

The workspace connection is not a shared administrator credential. A Keito owner or administrator makes the first company connection, and then every member connects their own monday.com account.

When a member searches for an item, Keito uses that member’s grant. monday.com’s board permissions remain the access boundary, so a private board that is unavailable to the member does not become discoverable through Keito. Access, hierarchy, and the current mapping are verified again when the entry is saved.

The integration requests four read-only OAuth scopes: me:read, boards:read, workspaces:read, and users:read. Optional time copying separately requests boards:write for its designated administrator.

Map once, select quickly

An administrator can map an entire monday.com board to an active Keito project and an assigned active task. That mapping becomes the default for supported items on the board.

If one item belongs somewhere else in Keito, an exact item mapping overrides the board default. This keeps everyday entry fast without forcing a complex project structure into either product.

When a member chooses an item in a Keito time-entry form, its mapped Keito project and task are selected automatically. Keito validates the choice again at save time so an old search result cannot bypass a changed mapping or lost board access.

Classic top-level items and same-board nested items on Project-format multi-level boards are supported. Classic-board subitems remain unsupported.

Historical entries keep their context

Keito saves a snapshot of the item’s name, board, stable reference, and safe monday.com URL with the time entry. That context remains visible if a member disconnects, an administrator disconnects the company account, a mapping changes, or the original item later becomes unavailable.

Disconnecting removes stored credentials and prevents new searches. It does not make historical time entries unintelligible, and it never deletes the time recorded in Keito.

Designed for real team workflows

The connection model covers more than a member recording their own entry:

  • Editing notes, duration, or another unrelated field preserves an existing link without making a new monday.com request.
  • A member can clear the link or replace it with another verified selection.
  • Keito prevents a linked entry from being moved to a project or task that conflicts with its mapping.
  • When a manager records time for somebody else, both the acting user and the entry owner need personal monday.com access for a new or changed link.

Those checks also apply outside the main form, preventing another Keito interface from forging a monday.com snapshot or bypassing the verified project and task relationship.

What the integration does not do

The integration does not:

  • write hours to monday.com’s native time-tracking column;
  • update Numbers columns unless an administrator explicitly enables copying into a dedicated editable column;
  • add comments or change item status;
  • import monday.com items as Keito tasks;
  • synchronise people, budgets, invoices, or approvals; or
  • support classic-board subitems.

We chose reference linking first because it provides useful delivery context without creating two competing time records. Optional time copying now has its own authorization, dedicated column mapping, and status checks. It is off by default and excludes running timers and earlier historical entries.

Connect your Business workspace

The monday.com integration is available to every Keito Business workspace, with no beta invitation or workspace enablement needed:

  1. A Keito owner or administrator opens Settings > Integrations > monday.com and connects the intended monday.com account.
  2. The administrator maps a board, and optionally creates exact item overrides, to active Keito projects and tasks.
  3. Each member connects their own monday.com account.
  4. Members choose accessible, mapped supported items from the normal Keito time-entry form.

Read the complete monday.com integration guide for setup, mapping, managed-time rules, disconnect behaviour, security, and troubleshooting.

Keito is published and shared with all monday.com accounts through a direct installation link; it is currently unlisted in the monday.com Marketplace. If monday.com requires installation first, ask a monday.com administrator to install Keito using the link in the guide, then start Link monday.com again.
