Trello Power-Up

Keep managing projects in Trello and record time directly from cards into Keito. The Keito Power-Up supports live timers, manual time entries, card totals and a board report. A browser extension is not required.

The Power-Up is available on all Keito plans: Solo, Pro, and Business, including active trials. Add the Keito Power-Up from Trello’s public directory. It supports Trello web and the macOS desktop app. Trello mobile apps are not supported.

Before You Start

  • An active Keito workspace, including a trial, and a project and task you are assigned to.
  • Permission to add Power-Ups to your Trello board.
  • Each team member connects their own Keito account. Each browser or device signs in separately.

Connect

  1. Open Keito in the Trello Power-Up directory, choose Add Power-Up, and select the board where you want to track time. You can also find the install link in Keito under Settings > Integrations > Trello.
  2. Choose Connect Keito in the welcome panel or open a card and connect from its Keito section.
  3. Sign in to your Keito account in the sign-in window, then return to Trello.
  4. Choose an accessible Keito project and task for the card.

You do not need to paste an API key or import your Trello boards into Keito. Keito does not automatically create projects or tasks from Trello cards.

Track Time From A Card

Start and stop a timer from the card’s Keito controls, or choose the manual entry option to record completed time. Keito remembers your project and task selections and automatically saves the Trello card link with the time entry.

If another timer is running, explicitly choose whether to switch to this card or keep the existing timer. Keito does not silently replace an active timer. Moving a card between lists does not automatically start or stop its timer.

The time is recorded in Keito for reporting, timesheet approval and invoicing. This is time tracking from Trello, rather than synchronisation with Harvest’s Power-Up or another Trello time tracker.

Card Totals And Board Reports

Open a card’s Keito section to see recent entries and authorised time totals. You can restart a previous entry or add manual time. The Keito board report shows authorised totals across up to 200 visible cards.

Power-Up settings let you choose a default Keito project for the board and whether to show card-front totals. An inaccessible or inactive project must be replaced with one your Keito account can use.

Privacy And Disconnection

Time and billing data remains in Keito and follows your Keito permissions. Trello board members who are not connected to an authorised Keito account see no time badges, totals, entries or report data. Their card section shows a neutral sign-in prompt.

Keito does not write time, notes, billing data or project names to shared Trello plugin storage. The shared board setting contains only an opaque default project ID.

Disconnect from Keito Power-Up settings in Trello. This removes the local Keito session on that browser. Existing Keito time entries remain. You can also remove the Power-Up from a board through Trello’s Power-Ups menu.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find Keito in Trello’s public directory. Open the Keito Power-Up listing directly. Sign in to Trello and check that you have permission to add Power-Ups to your board. If your workspace restricts Power-Ups, ask its administrator to allow Keito.

The card asks me to connect again. Each browser or device has its own encrypted session. Connect on the device you are using.

There are no projects or tasks to select. Ask your Keito administrator to check your project assignments and that the project and task are active.

Can I migrate from Harvest? You can import your Harvest data and use the Keito Power-Up for future time tracking from Trello. It does not copy live timers or card totals from Harvest’s Power-Up.
