Keito Time Tracking for Jira
The native Jira Cloud app adds a Keito Time Tracking panel to a Jira issue. It uses your Keito account and your workspace’s existing Jira connection to track time and synchronise eligible entries to worklogs. Access and requirements
Before a public Marketplace listing is available, contact Keito or email support@keito.ai to ask about authorised pilot access. These instructions apply to an authorised installation; they do not provide an installation link.
A Keito account and an active Solo, Pro or Business subscription, or an eligible trial, are required. Installing the Jira app has no separate fee. See Keito pricing. Jira Data Center is not supported.
Install and connect the workspace
- A Jira site administrator installs Keito Time Tracking for Jira using the authorised pilot link supplied by Keito. When the app is published on Atlassian Marketplace, administrators can install it from its listing instead. Review the requested permissions before approving installation or an upgrade.
- A Keito owner or administrator opens Settings → Integrations → Jira, connects the same Jira Cloud site, and reviews worklog synchronisation settings.
- Each teammate connects their own Jira identity from that settings page. Use the same Jira account that opens the panel so worklogs have the correct author.

Connect your panel
- Open a Jira issue and expand Keito Time Tracking on the right side.
- Select Connect Keito. Sign in on the page that opens and explicitly choose the workspace connected to this Jira site. Complete required SSO or MFA.
- Return to Jira and select Refresh. Check the masked account and workspace, then select Confirm account and workspace in the original panel.
Links expire after ten minutes. If expired or already used, start again from Jira. Opening the browser link alone does not complete the connection.
Track and enter time
Choose an available Keito project and task, add required notes, and select Start timer. The timer runs on Keito’s server and continues when Jira closes. Select Stop timer to finish. When another timer is running, confirm Stop current timer and start here to switch.
For completed work, choose Enter time manually, a work date and duration in the format shown, then Save time. Dates follow the displayed timezone. Successful project and task choices are remembered for your account, Keito workspace and Jira project, subject to current permissions.
Your time on this issue shows your Keito entries. Use View in Keito for full history and corrections. Edit or delete completed entries in Keito.
Saving and synchronisation
Keito saves time before reporting Jira delivery. Saved in Keito and Syncing to Jira are different states. Administrators control worklog sync. Keito preserves exact time; Jira worklogs require whole minutes and at least one minute. Shorter entries stay saved in Keito.
After an interrupted response, use Check operation before recording the work again. Review sync issues in Keito or contact support. Check an uncertain delivery before creating a replacement entry, so the same work is not recorded twice.
Change or disconnect
Change workspace repeats browser approval and confirmation in Jira. Disconnect this app, followed by confirmation, revokes your personal app link.
Unlinking or uninstalling does not delete saved time or disconnect Keito’s separate Jira integration. A running timer may continue; stop it in Keito. To stop worklog sync, disconnect the personal Jira connection or the administrator’s workspace connection in Keito. Existing Jira worklogs remain subject to Jira permissions and your workspace’s delete-sync settings.
Use Keito’s deletion guide for account and workspace data removal. Reinstalling requires a fresh personal link; old grants remain revoked.

Contact support or support@keito.ai with the app version, approximate time, action and visible message. Do not send passwords, API tokens, customer notes or billing content.
